ME VST (sometimes stylized as MEVST) is a VST for MEOS. While currently not being able to record anything, it has several instruments to play through as well as multiple different sound controls.

History

ME VST was added in MEOS version 0.0.55 as an experiment with audio and MIDI.

Features

ME VST supports playback on both computer keyboard and piano keyboard (via MIDI). While keyboard can play a good range of notes, the MIDI keyboard can give access to the full 88 playable notes as well as a mod wheel that can be mapped to different functions by pressing the MOD button near the sliders. These functions can also be adjusted by changing the slider values as well. If a MIDI sustain pedal is connected to the computer, it will trigger an extra reverb function.

Here is a complete list of functions currently supported:

Trivia

  • To reduce latency from midi devices, the DSP buffer size can be lowered to 512 (or lower, but not recommended) using the setbuffersize command.
