Karkar Berries are the berry of the Karkar Palm, most notable for their edible leaves and filling.
Description
Karkar Berries are usually found growing in bulk on Karkar Palm Trees, hanging from their green stems. Two translucent and moist leaves cover an aromatic brown filling inside the berry. The leaves themselves taste somewhat like cabbage, while the filling tastes just like perfectly cooked ground beef.
Uses
Both the leaves and the filling of the Karkar Berry are used mostly for food purposes. The leaves are often used as garnish or to wrap other food in such as buns or other kinds of servings, while the filling is used as a meat substitute for foods like tacos, burritos, chili, and many other variants.
A common way of serving both key ingredients of the Karkar Berry as food, is a slightly seasoned filling inside the leaves of the berry.
