Weshrel Sweep is a strategy game where the player has to clear all non-mine tiles from the board as quick as possible.
Gameplay
The player can choose from three difficulties; easy, normal, and hard. Easy yields a 9 by 9 field with 10 mines, normal has a 16 by 16 field with 40 mines, and hard has a 30 by 16 field with 99 mines. Then, the player can click anywhere on the board to start. The first click will always be guaranteed not to be a mine tile. When a tile is uncovered, it can either have an empty value, a number, or a mine (game over). An empty tile will uncover all adjacent empty tiles and number tiles, so they are ideal for uncovering a big area of the map. Number tiles will show how many of the adjacent tiles from all directions are mine tiles. They are useful for being able to avoid clicking on the mine tiles that would lead to a game over. To mark a tile as a mine, the player can place a flag with right click to avoid pressing it. The game ends when all non-mine tiles are uncovered, and the score is calculated based on how quick you got through the game. A lower score is more ideal than a higher one.
Themes
Weshrel Sweep has different themes to customize the look of the game. The themes are currently as follows:
- Default: A sunny, cartoonish, grassy theme.
- Mines: A more retro, old OS, simple looking theme.
Development
The idea for this kind of game was in consideration for ME-OS for a while, but it wasn't until 2024 that it started getting any kind of development. With version 0.0.57's improvements to the windowed framework, Weshrel Sweep was intended to demonstrate the new features and was also aimed to be the first windowed game. This was especially big news for ME-OS before "Priority Applications" came along later, which allowed for full screen games to be minimized and tabbed out of without losing state in version 0.0.58. At the time of Weshrel Sweep's creation, games were not able to be run simultaneously, and states would be lost on program changes, so having a windowed game meant that the window (and therefore the state) could be carried over as long as the OS was on. Weshrel Sweep was also used as testing grounds for right clicking in ME-OS, as previously the whole OS mostly utilized left clicking for all UI interactions.
The concept of themes was also experimented with in making this game. Weshrel Sweep was made with applying of themes in mind, so a framework that was going to be used for general OS themes later on was worked on alongside the games development. In many ways, this game was a stepping stone for testing many features, while also intending to be a fun and addicting game with a gameplay concept that many are familiar with.
Music
There is no music in this game. However, each theme has its own unique set of sound effects.

Trivia
- Weshrel Sweep was the first windowed game in ME-OS.
- Weshrel Sweep was the first game that utilized right clicking through all of ME-OS as a whole, and was even used as a template for right clicking components throughout the OS in version 0.0.58.
- Long before Weshrel Sweep, there was another attempt at a similar style game that was going to be named "BombiBombi", featuring Bombik as the mascot. However since Bombik appeared in Bomber first, a different member of the Guo Gang was considered for the game instead.
