SP Purification

SP Purification is the process of restoring a tainted or corrupted SP creature back to its default state. To purify a tainted SP creature (which usually comes from or has a link to the Unknown Entity), the creature has to be weakened or defeated in some way, and a pure creature has to touch its SP Heart to make them unleash their true nature. In essence, a tainted heart just has invasive motives overriding the true nature of a creature, often inhibiting all emotions aside from negative ones. Once a heart has been purified however, it will never regress back to its tainted state. The first time purification was ever used, it was done on Blue Shell in 2016.

Purification is not always needed to calm a misguided SP creature. For example during the Corruption Crisis when the SP creatures were learning to use their corrupt forms, they did not need to be purified to go back to their normal state. This is because they just needed to be defeated to subdue the rage and confusion caused by the powerful new form of energy. A pure heart can never be tainted again.
